Yanmar Engine Service
We completed an engine service on a Y2GM20F engine in a 2002 Hunter 326 sailboat using the Niemiec Marine Y2GM20F Minor kit. We replaced the impeller, belts, air filter, and fuel filter. Filmed on location in Oriental, NC.
This video offers an overview of the Yanmar 3GM 30FC marine diesel engine, with specific reference to normal maintenance. In this edition we do a routine oil change and describe common lubrication problems. This is an amateur video, published in good faith but with no guarantees as to accuracy or safety.
In this episode, we explore the intricacies of fuel delivery in the Yanmar marine diesel, and go forward to change both fuel filters and bleed the fuel system of air. The engine demonstrated is a 2002 3GM 30FC fresh water cooled Yanmar engine mounted in a J/109 sailboat.
